We offer the only Limb Preservation Center in Central Massachusetts. Our team of vascular surgeons, podiatrists, and other wound care specialists treat patients at high risk for foot and leg amputation, particularly those with diabetes and peripheral artery disease (PAD).
When an amputation is required, we aim to maximize each patient’s independence to be able to have a good quality of life at home, work and in their communities. We are the first facility in Massachusetts to achieve partnership status with the Amputee Coalition. Throughout the recovery process, patients and family members will be given the opportunity to meet with or connect with others who have recovered from amputation.
